Project Experience


Bravern, 11555 NE 8th Street, Bellevue

Two 29 story residential towers, one 12 story office/retail tower and one 23 story office/retail tower with underground parking. Inspections performed included reinforced concrete, structural steel, 216 post tension deck placements (bonded and unbonded), shotcrete, soil nailing, fireproofing, welding, proprietary anchors and epoxy.

6th & Lenora, 2121 6th Avenue, Seattle

Two 24 story residential and retail towers built simultaneously. Inspections performed included reinforced concrete, structural steel, shotcrete, post tensioned concrete, epoxy, structural masonry and proprietary anchors.

815 Pine Street Project, 815 Pine Street, Seattle

40 story high rise with residential and retail space with underground parking. Inspections performed included reinforced concrete, shotcrete, structural steel, post tensioned concrete, curtain wall installation, epoxy and proprietary anchors.

Bel-Red Apartments, 2070 Bel-Red Road, Bellevue

Three apartment buildings ranging from three to six stories, which includes 450 units with retail space and parking. Inspections performed included reinforced concrete, shotcrete, structural steel, post tensioned concrete, lateral framing, epoxy and proprietary anchors.

Point Ruston, 5005 Ruston Way, Ruston/Tacoma

This project is a huge, multi-building complex at the old Arsaco Copper Smelter site on Puget Sound. Buildings include apartments, condos and general retail. AAR has providing special inspections since 2010 on multiple buildings. These inspections include reinforced concrete, structural steel, lateral wood, shotcrete, structural masonry, post tensioned concrete, epoxy and proprietary anchors.

 

D to M Streets, D to M Streets, Tacoma, WA

We performed special inspections on this railroad bridge and surrounding streets. Inspections included Structural Steel Fabrication, Reinforced Concrete, In-Place Density of soils and related laboratory work.

Edmonds Commuter Rail Station, Railroad Avenue & Dayton Street, Edmonds, WA

This project consists of a building, passenger shelters and parking areas for the commuter rail station. Special Inspections on this project included Reinforced Concrete, Structural Steel Fabrication and Erection, Auger Cast Piles, Structural Masonry, In-Place Density testing on Soils and Asphalt and Proprietary Anchors.

Interbay Worklofts, 1631 15th Ave W, Seattle, WA

This project is a three story, 60 unit small office complex with underground parking. Special Inspections on this project included Auger Cast Piling, Reinforced Concrete, Structural Steel Welding/Bolting, Shotcrete, Post-Tensioned Concrete and Lateral Framing.

Juanita Village, 11743 97th Lane NE, Kirkland, WA

This project consists of two apartment buildings, one four stories and one five stories, with parking on the ground level. Special Inspections on this project included Reinforced Concrete, Post-Tensioned Concrete, Epoxy, Lateral Framing and Structural Steel.

Ondine on Juanita Bay, 11702 98th Avenue NE, Kirkland, WA

This project is a four story apartment complex, Special Inspections on this project included Reinforced Concrete, Shotcrete, Soil Nailing, Structural Steel, Post-Tensioned Concrete, Epoxy, Lateral Framing, Structural Masonry, Proprietary Anchors and Structural Steel.

Husky Stadium Renovation, 3800 Montlake Blvd NE, Seattle

Renovation of University of Washington football stadium. Inspections performed included reinforced concrete, structural steel, auger cast piles, tieback grouting, ultrasonic testing and magnetic particle testing of welds, shotcrete, structural masonry, proprietary anchors, fireproofing and epoxy.


LA Fitness, Kelsey Creek, Burien, West Seattle, Lynnwood, Kirkland

Fitness facilities with pool, gym, exercise rooms. Inspections included reinforced concrete, structural masonry, soils, epoxy, structural steel fabrication and erection.


Boys and Girls Club Hidden Valley Field House, 1905 112th Avenue NE, Bellevue

A 22,500 square foot multi-purpose community center and gymnasium with three full-sized basketball courts, office space and room enough for multiple sports courts. Inspections provided included reinforced concrete, pin piles, grout, structural steel fabrication, structural steel bolting and welding, ultrasonic examination of full penetration welding, metal framing, glass curtain wall attachments, epoxy grouting and anchor bolt installation.


Safeco Field, Seattle

New baseball stadium. This was a joint venture with another lab which included the stadium, south garage and the exhibition hall. AAR’s roll was auger cast piling, reinforced concrete, post tension concrete and structural steel erection.

Century Link Field, Seattle

New football and soccer stadium. This was a joint venture with another lab and AAR’s portion included all structural masonry and composite prism testing of masonry units.


FedEx Distribution Center, 18795 NE 178th Street, Redmond

211,000 square foot distribution warehouse. Inspections performed included reinforced concrete, tilt-up panels, structural steel fabrication, structural steel erection, welding, high strength bolting, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, spray-applied fire resistive material, epoxy and asphalt.


Honda and Toyota of Seattle, 2005 Airport Way S, Seattle

405,000 square foot automobile dealership with 65 service bays and 1,113 parking stalls. AAR performed all inspection and testing on the reinforced concrete, auger cast piles, post tensioned concrete, structural steel, epoxy and proprietary anchors.


Fire Station #14, 3224 4th Avenue S, Seattle

Construction/renovation of fire station. This is one of many fire station renovation/ construction projects AAR Testing has done for the City of Seattle and other districts. Other examples include Fire Station #9, Fire Station #8, Fire Station #27, Fire Station 11 and Fire Station #35 for the City of Seattle; Fire Station #29 in Normandy Park . Inspections performed included reinforced concrete, structural masonry, shotcrete, epoxy, proprietary anchors, structural steel, ultrasonic testing lateral framing and soils compaction.


Toyota of Kirkland, 13210 NE 124th Street, Kirkland

93,063 square foot two-story auto dealership. Performed inspections on reinforced concrete, structural steel fabrication and erection, proprietary anchors, epoxy, structural masonry, post tensioned concrete, tilt up panels and lateral framing.


Barrier Porsche, 11830 NE 8th Street, Bellevue

38,327 square foot new car dealership. Performed inspections on reinforced concrete, structural steel fabrication and erection, epoxy and structural masonry.


Best Buy, 457 120th Avenue NE, Bellevue

Remodel store and add parking garage. AAR performed inspection and testing on reinforced concrete, structural masonry, epoxy, post tensioned concrete and structural steel.


Eagle Ridge, 1620 Benson Road South, Renton

Two 4-story apartment buildings with underground parking and 117 units. Inspections performed included reinforced concrete, structural masonry, lateral framing, epoxy, structural steel, proprietary anchors, post tensioned concrete, auger cast piling and shotcrete.


Discovery West Apartments, 580 8th Avenue NE, Issaquah

Six apartment buildings ranging from three to five stories. Performed inspections on reinforced concrete, post tensioned concrete and lateral framing.


Elan South Lake Union, 400 Boren Avenue North, Seattle

This is a five-story wood framed, 282 unit apartment project with two–story below grade parking. Inspections performed on this project included reinforced concrete, post tensioned concrete, lateral wood framing, tiebacks, shotcrete, batch plant, structural masonry and epoxy.


Woodin Creek Village, 17300 135th Avenue NE, Woodinville

Apartment complex with 800+ multi-family units as well as 50,000 square feet of retail space and 10,000 square feet office space. Inspections provided include reinforced concrete, post tensioned concrete, lateral framing, proprietary anchors and epoxy.


South 200th Link Extension, Seatac

New 1.6 mile light rail segment from Seatac Airport to South 200th. ARR performed quality control inspections for reinforced concrete on site and at prefab shop.


SR 520 Approach, Bellevue/Medina

Approach area and widening along SR 520. Performed compaction and asphalt density testing, reinforcement for the sub and super structures, concrete placement and field cured concrete samples, precast concrete and corrugated steel culvert panel installations, temporary and permanent shotcrete reinforcement and placement, augercast and soldier piles, soil nail installation, proof and verification testing as prescribed by the site Geotech.


Detention Vaults, Puget Sound Area

AAR has performed reinforced concrete and grout inspection and testing on hundreds of water detention vaults around the Puget Sound Area. These vaults are usually required in residential neighborhoods to control water runoff.


Proprietary Anchor Inspections/Shelving and Racking, Puget Sound Area

AAR has inspected hundreds of projects that require anchor bolt inspection and/or epoxy inspection. These are for shelving or racking that are installed in warehouses.


Sound Transit Kirkland Transit Center, 3rd Street between Central Ave & Kirkland Ave, Kirkland, WA

This project consisted of building a new transit center with six bus bays and five passenger shelters with appropriate sidewalks, etc. Special Inspections on this project included Reinforced Concrete, Structural Steel and In-Place Density of Soils.
